Engine Nine Studio

I was trying to compile this but I get a few errors. Is this not ready or do I need to follow some steps to get this to run?

You require XNA for it to run. Might need to install Directx SDK too.

I installed Directx SDK but I get errors on the ViewModels\EditorView.cs and Windows\MainWindow.xaml.cs

Are you using Visual Studio 2012? It's using some stuff from .NET 4.5 like asyc. But the Studio is not near completion.

I'm using visual studio 2010 so that could be the issue. Is the studio going to be similar to 3d scene editor? I guess I'll just have to wait. I'm excited to try it out and play with it.

Yes, the studio is going to be a Scene Editor. It is not coming in the near future from what I can see now. Roadmap & Visions .

In Engine Nine source, I got everything from the download page. Am I missing it?

I don't quite get you, could you explain a little bit more? Do you mean the location it is located at (\Studio) ?

I do not see the code for the Engine Nine Studio in the Engine Nine source code download.

The editor source code is not included in the 1.4 download page, because it is far from complete. You can find it in the hg repro under the "Source Code" tab.

Ah, for some reason when I click on that tab I get redirected to this page, with both Chrome and IE. Anyone else have that problem?

I'm also constantly experiencing this issue. Something must be broken on codeplex.

What approach are you taking for an editor? Completely custom approach or do you plan to do something like ?

I'll stick with codeplex for a little while, since Microsoft seems to be improving this website quite a lot recently.

No, I don't want to have any dependencies on visual studio. It's going be a completely customized UI, and you won't be disappointed :)

I would love to see it, I have worked on alpha stuff for years(Axiom3D) . I am very interested in seeing the editor. Willing to test stuff even help develop.

I am currently using unity3d for a simple game, but that does not allow XBox live deployment ,
