New terrain?

I'm new with your engine and xna,  I wanted to make new terrain using my heightmap picture.

terrain = new DrawableSurface(GraphicsDevice, Content.Load<Heightmap>("MountainHeightmap"), 32);

I know I need to make my own Content Heightmap importer, so Content.Load<HeightMap> can work with bmp or jpg pictures. How can I do that?


Engine seems great, keep up the good work!

Heightmap and terrain works with any texture types supported by the Xna Framework (including bmp and jpg).

All you have to do is add the image to the content project, then set the importer to "Texture - Xna" and processor to "Heightmap - Engine Nine".

In addition, it supports raw format (both 8bit and 16bit) with the "Raw Texture Importer".

I'm going to give this engine a shot, seems very nice. Reminds me of a engine.
