Particles slowing framerate?

Hi all!

I have a number of particles in my scene, each with a lifetime defined in the xaml scene. However, after I have been running the game for a little while, the whole thing chugs! Could there be anything else affecting my framerate? Or how do I ensure that particles are dying when they should be?
