xaml - Class-attribute

Apr 10, 2013 at 10:54 PM
hello,

i played a bit around with attributing a scene with the default-xaml-Class-attribute to get a Scene-derived implementation into scope (current checkin).

i am failing with a XamlObjectWriterException telling me that i should set a correct XamlObjectWriterSettings.RootObjectInstance.

but even changing some xamlserializer-internals to create a matching object instance for a test it won´t work. so i believe there is some more to change in xamlserializer.

now my question: is it planned to support this basic-xaml-attributions in the upcoming version. this would be very great.

Can you give me an example of "default-xaml-Class-attribute"? I'm not sure what it is.

sure - i try - i´d like to do the following:

<Scene xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" x:Class="MyScene" >
...
</Scene>

my idea is to get the possibility of a code-behind-class - this would be my favourite way to crossover declarative part (xaml) and executable code (event-handling, ...) like eg. WPF does. see x:Class + Click-attribute or x:Code-element for inline-code here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa970568.aspx

in my opinion this would push nine to the most effective and powerful engine ever ;-)
