Install From NuGet Package

To install Engine Nine from NuGet:

  1. Install NuGet
  2. In your solution file, open Tools – Library Package Manager – Package Manager Console
  3. Run Install-Package Nine

 

Install From Binary Release

To use Engine Nine, the following prerequisites are required:

  1. Xna Game Studio 4.0
  2. Visual Studio 2010 Express or Higher

To install from latest binary release:

  1. Download the latest release of Engine Nine from http://nine.codeplex.com/releases
  2. Run the installer.

 

Install From Source Code

Building the Engine Nine source code requires the following prerequisites:

  1. Xna Game Studio 4.0
  2. Visual Studio 2010 Express or Higher
  3. Microsoft DirectX SDK (June 2010)

To build Engine Nine from source code:

  1. Download the latest source code of Engine Nine from http://nine.codeplex.com/SourceControl/list/changesets
  2. Open Framework folder and open Framework/Nine.Windows.sln
  3. The binary assemblies will be found at References folder
  4. Run Build\Register.bat as administrator to register the output assemblies (Optional)
